Community Baby Shower
The 2011 Community Baby Shower is Friday, January 28th. Get involved!
When I was pregnant with my first, a woman from a non-profit agency in Madison approached me about having me be the face of a baby items collection for the community. I was about to deliver, so I couldn’t do it that first year. When I got pregnant again, I tried to track her down, but couldn’t find her name. I approached the station’s marketing department about doing an event and “The Community Baby Shower” was born in 2003. It’s been going strong ever since. On a single January day, we host a “Community Baby Shower”, to collect baby items for families in need. We collect thousands of diapers, clothing, and containers of formula. The Southeast Wisconsin community is amazingly generous. The items are then donated to hospitals and non-profit organizations who will then give those items to needy families. Some agencies say they receive enough items to last six months!

Good luck with this year’s baby shower. Hope you get lots of donations!
Congratulations, Susan! May you have great success with the Community Baby Shower as well as anything else you do. Long before I plowed the fields and did cameos on Jersey Shore. I knew you are a Milwaukee treasure. Although the news is not really show biz, “break a leg” and have fun with all of your events. You have many fans and supporters outside of Live At Daybreak! We are called Fans AND Friends of Susan Kim.
Congratulations!
